In an important development in the run up to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday named IAS officer Navdeep Rinwa as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Uttar Pradesh.
Navdeep Rinwa is currently the Commissioner of the Aligarh division and is a 1999 officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He replaces Ajay Kumar Shukla.
