In a significant development, senior IAS officer Monika S Garg was appointed president of the Uttar Pradesh IAS association. Ms. Garg, a 1989-batch UP Cadre IAS officer, is presently serving as the Commissioner of the UP Agricultural Production. She had earlier served as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Minority Development & Muslim Waqf Department of the Uttar Pradesh government.
