2009 batch IAS officer Pramod Kumar Upadhyay has been transferred and posted as Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), Lucknow.
He was serving as Director, Panchayati Raj & Mission and Director, Swachch Bharat Mission (Rural).
It is worth mentioning here that recently, a new president and a member have been appointed in UP RERA.
1989 batch retired IAS officer Sanjay R Bhoosreddy was named as new president of UP RERA, while retired 1989 batch IAS officer Dimple Verma was appointed as member, RERA. She is the wife of IPS Prashant Kumar, Special DGP, Uttar Pradesh.
A three-member committee headed by the Chief Justice had been constituted for the selection of the chairman and members of RERA. In this, Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Ramesh Gokarn and Principal Secretary Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava were included as members.
The applications of about 23 people for the post of president and about 26 for the post of member were placed before the committee. Many former officers applied for both the posts.
