1989 batch retired IAS officer Sanjay R Bhoosreddy has been named as new president of Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), Lucknow, by the Uttar Pradesh government.
The Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has approved his appointment and issued the order.
While retired 1989 batch IAS officer Dimple Verma has been appointed as member, RERA. She is the wife of Prashant Kumar, Special DGP, Uttar Pradesh.
A three-member committee headed by the Chief Justice has been constituted for the selection of the chairman and members of RERA. In this, Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Ramesh Gokarn and Principal Secretary Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava were included as members.
The applications of about 23 people for the post of president and about 26 for the post of member were placed before the committee. Many former officers applied for both the posts.
