Fertiliser cooperative IFFCO has commenced commercial production of Nano Liquid DAP (di-ammonium phosphate) at its newly established plants in Aonla (Bareilly) and Phulpur (Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh. Each plant has a production capacity of 2 lakh bottles (500 ml) per day, significantly increasing the availability of Nano DAP for farmers across India.
With these additions, IFFCO’s total nano fertiliser production capacity—spanning both nano urea and nano DAP—has risen to 9.5 lakh bottles per day. IFFCO highlighted that Nano DAP, with particles under 100 nanometers, offers better soil nutrient absorption, improved crop growth, and higher yields compared to conventional fertilisers.
IFFCO launched the world’s first Nano Liquid Urea in June 2021, followed by Nano DAP in April 2023. Nano Urea is priced at ₹240 per 500 ml bottle, while Nano DAP is available at ₹600. The cooperative has invested approximately ₹2,000 crore since 2017 in these innovative nutrient solutions.
