Srinagar: The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has issued an order promoting and transferring seven Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers of the AGMUT cadre, including two officers currently serving in Jammu and Kashmir.
The restructuring involves promotions to the rank of Conservator of Forests (CF) and inter-state transfers across multiple Union Territories and states.
Two Officers Promoted in Jammu & Kashmir
The two officers serving in Jammu & Kashmir who have been promoted are:
- Arashdeep Singh
- Vanjulavalli Sridhar
Both officers have been elevated to the rank of Conservator of Forests and will continue their postings in Jammu and Kashmir after promotion.
Other Key Transfers in AGMUT Cadre
The order also includes multiple transfers across different regions under the AGMUT cadre:
- Murali Sankaar K has been posted to Arunachal Pradesh
- Ashwin Jaswant Parihar has been transferred from Andaman and Nicobar Islands to Goa
- Anup Kumar Soni will continue in Chandigarh
- Lalnunsanga Khawlring will continue in Mizoram
- Bittem Darang will continue in Arunachal Pradesh
Promotion and Cadre Management
The restructuring reflects routine cadre management under the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) system, which allows officers to serve across multiple jurisdictions.
