SS Lingaraju, an IFS officer from the 1999 batch, has been promoted by the Karnataka government to the position of additional chief conservator of forests (APCCF) for Project Tiger, which has its headquarters in Mysuru. All of the state’s tiger reserves are under the control of Project Tiger.
Saswathi Mishra, an IFS officer from the 1997 batch, was assigned to APCCF (Project Elephant) but has since been moved to APCCF (vigilance).
SS Ravishankar, an IFS officer from the 2010 batch, has been promoted and assigned to the position of conservator of forests (working plan), Mysuru.
DCF Sivaram Babu of Madikeri Wildlife Division has been sent to Kudremukh Wildlife Division, which covers the district of Chikkamagaluru. Two IFS officers from the 2011 batch, Deep I Contractor, the director of BRT Tiger Reserve, and D Mahesh Kumar, the director of the Mysuru Zoo, were promoted but kept their positions.
