According to official updates from Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), the country’s first production-grade wire-guided heavy weight torpedo has been delivered to the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) in Visakhapatnam. 

This development strengthens India’s push toward self-reliance in defence under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative and significantly boosts the operational capabilities of the Indian Navy.
