Following a directive issued by the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir, the 1991 batch J&K cadre IPS officer A K Choudhary, was mandated to assume office as the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
Mr. Choudhary had previously served as the Director General (Crime) in Jammu & Kashmir and shall hold the new designation till he attains sixty-two years of age.
