Focus Turns to Long-Standing IPS Concerns
With a new leadership team in place, the IPS Association is preparing to engage with the state government on several unresolved issues. At the forefront is the long-standing controversy regarding IAS officers writing confidential character reports of IPS officers – an issue that has sparked repeated debate over administrative fairness and independence.
According to sources within the association, President Chanchal Shekhar is expected to lead a delegation to meet the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh in the coming days. The goal is to reopen discussions and seek a resolution to multiple pending demands that have remained in limbo despite years of dialogue.
A New Chapter for IPS Representation
With Chanchal Shekhar at the helm, the Madhya Pradesh IPS Association enters a new phase, aiming to enhance dialogue with the state government, promote administrative reforms, and strengthen the voice of the IPS community. Known for his policing acumen and administrative insight, Shekhar’s leadership is expected to reinvigorate the association’s agenda and advocacy efforts.
