5 IPS officers of Jammu & Kashmir cadre are among the 39 police officers who have been empanelled as ADG and ADG equivalent post at the centre.
The name of the officers are – 1994 batch IPS officer Abdul Gani Mir and 1995 batch IPS officer Tsewang Namgyal Kalon, Shiv Darshan, Satish Shiramaji Khandare and Rajesh Kumar.
As per an order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of the Indian Police Service officers for holding posts at the Centre.
Of the 39 officers in the list, four belong to the 1994 batch and one each belongs to the 1991 and 1993 batch. Thirty three officers from 1995 batch are on the list. Except for three from the batch (ADG Equivalent), 30 officers from 1995 batch were empanelled for holding ADG or ADG Equivalent posts at the Centre.
