Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order of appointment of Mr Sumit Sharan as Inspector General , Border Security Force on Wednesday. As per the orders he has been appointed to this post for a period of five years on Deputation basis. Mr Sharan is 1997 batch IPS Officer from Tamil Nadu Cadre.
Previously he has served in the capacity of Inspector General Enforcement Tamil Nadu and IG of Police or Commissioner of police Coimbatore City Tamil Nadu.
