The Union Government promoted five 2005 batch IPS officers to the rank of IG (Inspector General) across several organisations on March 21.
Mr. Maninder Pratap Singh, Gujarat cadre, was made the IG of BSF. Mr. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar (Kerala cadre) became the IG of NIA, while Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma (Maharashtra cadre) was appointed IG of CISF. Whereas, Mr. R Gopala Krishna Rao (Tripura cadre) became the IG of CRPF and Princee Rani (Tripura cadre) became the IG of NSG.
