On the occasion of the New Year, the Rajasthan government recently presented more than a hundred IAS and IPS officers with promotions and better pay scales. There are more IAS officers among these officers. After promotion in the IPS, badges were modified and raised. Ashok Gupta, an IPS officer, is one of these officers. He was promoted to IG from DIG.
Most officers wore badges from family members after promotions, but DIG-turned-IG Ashok Gupta provided the most unusual case. In truth, Gupta, who later became Inspector General, wore this badge at the hands of a constable, the lowest rank of the Rajasthan Police. He remarked that if there are military, there will be cops, and if there aren’t, there will be nothing.
It is noteworthy that apart from Ashok Gupta, 40 other IPS officers have also been promoted in the pay scale. Recently, the Personnel Department issued a list regarding these officers. After this promotion list, the transfer list is being prepared soon. In this, a large number of changes will be seen in the Rajasthan Police.
