Ashutosh Pratap Singh, a 2010-batch IPS officer from Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been relieved of his duties as Director of Madhya Pradesh’s Public Relations department.
The state home department issued the transfer order late Monday night, reassigning Mr. Singh as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) at the Bhopal Police Headquarters.
Mr. Singh served as the Director of the Public Relations department for six years. His departure comes after the removal of the department’s Commissioner Manish Singh on December 20, which initiated a series of reforms.
IAS Vivek Porwal took over as Public Relations Commissioner but was replaced by IAS Sandeep Yadav after about 10 days.
