The Election Commission of India had appointed Sandeep Shandilya as Commissioner of Police after transferring C V Anand, CP of Hyderabad, following the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
Kothakota Srinivas Reddy, an IPS officer from the 1994 batch, has now taken over as Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad.
The new CP of Rachakonda is G Sudheer Babu, a 2001 batch IPS, while the new Commissioner of Cyberabad Police is Avinash Mohanty, a 2005 batch IPS officer, who was till now the Joint Commissioner of Police of Cyberabad.
Sandeep Shandilya is the new Chief of Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB). While Stephen Ravindra (1999 batch) and D S Chowhan (1997) were asked to report in the office of the Telangana DGP.
