Uttar Pradesh government has promoted 7 IPS officer of 1998 batch, from IG rank officers to ADGs. Earlier, government had promoted IAS officers too. Now, these IPS officers are waiting for their new postings.
1998 batch IPS officer Bhagwan Swaroop, who is IG Intelligence, has become ADG Intelligence after promotion. IPS officer Amit Chandra, IG, PAC West Zone Moradabad, has become ADG, PAC West Zone Moradabad.
IPS officer Piyush Modia, Joint CP Law and Order Lucknow Police Commissionerate, have become ADG from his IG rank. IPS Suvedra Kumar Bhagat, who is IG Police, has become ADG Police.
IPS officer BD Palson, IG and Secretary Home, have become ADG on the same post but can also be made ADG somewhere in the field. IPS KS Narayan, who is IG Varanasi, has become ADG in Varanasi. IPS Padmaja Chauhan has become ADG in the same post.
