IPS officer Vijayanta Arya will now be serving as Superintendent of Police at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for a period of 4 years . Currently posted as the DCP , Economic Offence Wing (EOW) , New Delhi, Ms. Arya has been relieved from Delhi police to take up the charge in NIA on deputation basis.
Ms Arya , an IPS officer of batch 2009 and AGMUT cadre from Punjab has also served in East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh. A mother of two boys Ms. Arya has also served as an Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-1 in the North West and later was transferred to the South District of Delhi .
She is one of a women who has shattered the patriarchal norms , sexism in the country .
