New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has announced that the tenure of its Independent Directors Rohini Rawat and Ram Nihal Nishad concluded on March 5, 2026.
The development follows the order issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy dated March 6, 2023, under which both directors had been appointed as Part-time Non-Official (Independent) Directors of the company. Their tenure officially ended on March 6, 2026.
Compliance with SEBI Listing Regulations
IREDA disclosed the completion of the directors’ tenure to BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations.
The company confirmed that all required disclosures related to the cessation of the two independent directors have been duly filed with the stock exchanges, ensuring transparency and compliance with corporate governance norms.

Contributions of the Outgoing Directors
Rohini Rawat
During her tenure as an Independent Director, Rohini Rawat contributed to strengthening the company’s governance practices and strategic oversight. Her role involved guiding management on policy frameworks and ensuring that corporate decisions aligned with regulatory standards and long-term institutional goals.
Ram Nihal Nishad
Ram Nihal Nishad also served as an Independent Director, providing advisory support on governance matters and policy initiatives. His contributions included strategic insights related to the renewable energy sector and oversight of corporate decision-making processes.

Vacancies Yet to Be Filled
Following the completion of their tenure, the positions held by Rohini Rawat and Ram Nihal Nishad on the Board are currently vacant. The company has not yet announced new appointments to replace them.
Future nominations are expected to follow the guidelines and approval process set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and regulatory authorities.
