New Delhi: The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), participated in the celebrations of the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026 held at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi. The event was jointly organized by MNRE and the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), focusing on the global theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
The celebration highlighted the role of yoga in promoting physical mobility, mental balance, longevity, and overall well-being among employees and officials.
Senior Officials and Industry Leaders Join Yoga Session
The event witnessed participation from senior government and energy sector leadership, including:

A large number of employees from MNRE, IREDA, and SECI also took part in the yoga session, creating a collective environment of mindfulness, health, and harmony with nature.
CMD Pradip Kumar Das Highlights Importance of Yoga
Speaking at the event, IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines for improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
He particularly highlighted its relevance for professionals working in the renewable energy and public service sectors, where maintaining balance and focus is essential.
He also reaffirmed IREDA’s commitment to employee wellness alongside its core mission of financing and promoting clean and green energy solutions in India.
Employee Wellness Initiatives at IREDA
As part of its internal wellness programs, IREDA regularly conducts daily yoga and meditation sessions for its employees, excluding Sundays and gazetted holidays. These sessions are designed to encourage healthier lifestyles, reduce stress, and enhance overall productivity and well-being.
The initiative reflects IREDA’s broader vision of maintaining a balanced work culture while contributing to India’s sustainable development and green energy transition.
