ITI Limited Appoints Sanjiwan Sinha as Government Nominee Director, Succeeds Arun Agarwal

Appointment effective August 10, 2026, follows Ministry of Communications order; Sinha is a 1994-batch IP&TAFS officer with telecom and public sector experience.

New Delhi: ITI Limited has appointed Mr. Sanjiwan Sinha (DIN: 03316960) as Government Nominee Director on its Board, effective August 10, 2026.

The appointment follows an order issued by the Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), dated July 16, 2026. ITI Limited communicated the appointment to the stock exchanges on August 11, 2026, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Mr. Sinha succeeds Mr. Arun Agarwal and will continue as Government Nominee Director until further orders.

Ministry of Communications Approves Appointment

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Communications and the Department of Telecommunications’ Public Sector Appointments Division, issued Order No. E-5-2/2021-PSA dated July 16, 2026, formalising Mr. Sinha’s appointment.

The order supersedes the Department’s earlier letter of the same number dated July 22, 2025.

The appointment has been made under Article 129 of the Articles of Association of ITI Limited.

Who is Sanjiwan Sinha?

Mr. Sanjiwan Sinha is a 1994-batch IP&TAFS (Indian Posts & Telecommunications Accounts and Finance Service) officer with extensive experience in the telecommunications and public sector domains.

He currently serves as Project Director, Programme Monitoring Unit, Office of Administrator, Digital Bharat Nidhi, Department of Telecommunications.

His academic qualifications include:

  • MBA in Finance
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
  • Ph.D. in Social Science

Over his career, Mr. Sinha has held important positions across the Department of Telecommunications, MTNL, BSNL, BBNL and the Government of Bihar.

His professional experience covers areas including ICT, finance, administration and implementation of technology-driven public service initiatives.

Mr. Sinha Brings Telecom and Public Sector Experience

With experience across various government departments and telecommunications organisations, Mr. Sinha brings expertise in finance, administration and technology-related public sector initiatives to the ITI Limited Board.

His current role at Digital Bharat Nidhi within the Department of Telecommunications further adds to his experience in monitoring and implementing government-led programmes.

ITI Limited Appointment and Regulatory Compliance

ITI Limited disclosed the appointment to the stock exchanges on August 11, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended.

The disclosure was also made with reference to the applicable SEBI Master Circular dated January 30, 2026.

The filing was signed by Y. Sathyan, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of ITI Limited.

The company also stated that no relationship between directors was disclosed in connection with the appointment.
