New Delhi: ITI Limited and Airtel Business have entered into a strategic partnership to help Indian enterprises modernise their digital infrastructure with a combined portfolio of enterprise connectivity, sovereign cloud, IoT, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite solutions.

The collaboration brings together ITI Limited’s domestic manufacturing and systems-integration capabilities with Airtel Business’s enterprise connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity and IoT offerings.

The partnership is aimed particularly at large enterprises, public-sector undertakings (PSUs), banks and organisations operating in highly regulated and security-sensitive sectors.

ITI and Airtel Business to Offer Integrated Digital Solutions

Under the partnership, the two organisations will work together to provide an integrated technology portfolio covering multiple areas of enterprise digital transformation.

The proposed solutions include:

  • High-speed enterprise connectivity, including optical fibre, GPON, SD-WAN and private 4G/5G networks
  • Secure data centres and sovereign cloud services
  • Industrial IoT and asset-tracking platforms
  • AI-powered analytics
  • End-to-end cybersecurity solutions
  • LEO satellite connectivity for remote and hard-to-reach locations

The companies said the combined solutions are intended to help organisations replace legacy infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity and scale their operations more rapidly.

Partnership Targets Regulated and Security-Sensitive Sectors

The collaboration is expected to focus on organisations that require strong security, regulatory compliance and data protection.

Key target sectors include:

  • Banking and financial services
  • Public-sector undertakings
  • Large enterprises
  • Defence and security-related organisations
  • Other highly regulated industries

The partnership is positioned to address the growing demand for secure, sovereign and locally compliant digital infrastructure across India’s enterprise ecosystem.

Focus on Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat

The partnership also aligns with the government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. ITI Limited’s position as a domestic telecom equipment manufacturer, combined with Airtel Business’s enterprise technology and connectivity capabilities, is expected to support the development and deployment of locally aligned digital infrastructure.

The companies believe their complementary strengths in manufacturing, customer reach, connectivity and technology services can help address the evolving digital requirements of Indian organisations.

ITI CMD Rajesh Rai Highlights Complementary Capabilities

Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited, said the partnership would enable the two organisations to jointly identify and fulfil customer requirements across areas such as digital transformation, connectivity, hyperscale data centres, cybersecurity and IoT. He highlighted the complementary strengths of the two organisations, including their business capabilities, customer reach and manufacturing expertise.

Airtel Business CEO Sharat Sinha Emphasises Secure Digital Growth

Sharat Sinha, CEO – Airtel Business, said that as India enters the next phase of digital growth, enterprises need infrastructure that is resilient, sovereign and compliant with regulatory requirements. He said the collaboration with ITI Limited is aimed at creating future-ready technology solutions that can strengthen business continuity and support India’s secure digital-first future.

Growing Demand for Sovereign Cloud, Private Networks and Cybersecurity

The partnership comes as Indian organisations increase investments in private 4G/5G networks, sovereign cloud, cybersecurity and other digital infrastructure. Data-localisation requirements, cybersecurity concerns and the need for operational resilience are driving enterprises to seek technology solutions that offer stronger control over data and critical infrastructure.

The companies expect enterprises in highly regulated sectors to be among the key early adopters of the solutions developed through the partnership.

LEO Satellite Connectivity to Expand Reach

One of the notable components of the proposed portfolio is LEO satellite connectivity, which can help provide communications services in remote and difficult-to-reach locations. Combined with fibre, SD-WAN and private 4G/5G networks, the offering is intended to provide enterprises with multiple connectivity options based on their operational and geographic requirements.

Commercial Details Not Yet Disclosed

The companies have not disclosed specific commercial details or individual customer engagements under the partnership. However, the collaboration reflects a broader trend of domestic technology manufacturers and large telecom operators working together to address India’s growing demand for secure, scalable and locally compliant digital infrastructure.
