Bhopal/Jabalpur: Jabalpur turned into a centre of devotion on August 10 as the Sanskar Kanwar Yatra was organised in the Ranjhi area during the holy month of Sawan. The massive procession witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees, with chants of “Bol Kanwariya, Bol Bam” echoing through the streets.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also participated in the Kanwar Yatra. He welcomed the Kanwariyas by showering flowers, carried a Kanwar himself and played the traditional damru. He also walked with Dada Guru and devotees during the procession. Several public representatives accompanied the Chief Minister.
Devotional Atmosphere Grips Jabalpur
The streets of Ranjhi came alive with devotional chants, drum beats and traditional music as a large number of devotees joined the Sanskar Kanwar Yatra. Devotees danced enthusiastically to the beats of drums and other musical instruments, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere.
Speaking during the event, CM Mohan Yadav said that the day was the auspicious Monday of Sawan, a month dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva.
He said Kanwariyas were carrying water from the Narmada River to offer to Lord Bholenath. Describing the massive gathering, the Chief Minister said the Kanwariyas appeared like waves of an ocean and could be seen as far as the eye could reach.

Kanwariyas Carry Narmada Water With Devotion
CM Mohan Yadav said the devotees had undertaken the journey with spiritual practice, devotion and determination. He added that the Narmada was also accompanying the devotees in the form of water carried by them during the sacred journey.
The Chief Minister said he had witnessed many Kanwar Yatras in the past, but the scale of the Sanskar Kanwar Yatra in Jabalpur was something he was seeing for the first time.

CM Mohan Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government was working on several initiatives related to religious tourism, facilities for devotees and strengthening Sanatan culture.
He said the government was making efforts to provide better facilities to Kanwar pilgrims while also improving infrastructure and facilities at religious places across the state.
According to the Chief Minister, Sanatan culture is rooted in India and provides a path of:

- Progress
- Joy and enthusiasm
- Facing life’s challenges with determination
He said Sanatan culture teaches people to confront difficulties and move forward in life.
Life Is More Than Just Eating and Drinking
The Chief Minister also highlighted the spiritual message being conveyed by the saints participating in the Kanwar Yatra.
Dr. Yadav said the saints remind people that the purpose of life is not merely eating and drinking, but following a sacred path to attain the divine.
Referring to Dada Guru, he said that he had presented an extraordinary example of spiritual dedication. According to the Chief Minister, Dada Guru had demonstrated that life could be sustained on the basis of water and had made his life an example of spiritual devotion.
CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Significance of Narmada
Dr. Mohan Yadav prayed that Dada Guru’s blessings would continue to benefit everyone. Highlighting the spiritual importance of the Narmada River, he said that “Shankar is present in every particle of Narmada.”
The Chief Minister congratulated everyone associated with the Sanskar Kanwar Yatra and extended his best wishes to the devotees.
The massive gathering of Kanwariyas, devotional chants, traditional music and the participation of CM Mohan Yadav made the Sanskar Kanwar Yatra in Jabalpur a major spiritual event on the auspicious Sawan Monday.
