Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav flagged off a Tiranga Yatra from TT Nagar Stadium in Bhopal on August 9, with hundreds of young people participating in the Tricolour procession and displaying their patriotic spirit despite the rain.

The procession conveyed the message of “nation first”, with the enthusiasm of the participating youth remaining undiminished by the weather. The event turned Bhopal into a scene of patriotic fervour as participants carried the Tricolour and inspired people along the route.

During the programme, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav waved the national flag from the stage and encouraged the youth to make a lifelong commitment to patriotism and service to the nation.

The Chief Minister also launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the Tricolour at his official residence.

Tiranga Yatras Being Held Across Country

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mohan Yadav said a nationwide campaign was being conducted under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with citizens across states participating in Tiranga Yatras.

Drawing a parallel with Mahatma Gandhi’s Non-Cooperation Movement, the Chief Minister said patriotic citizens were coming together across the country through these processions.

He also referred to the rainy weather during the Bhopal event, saying that even the rain appeared to be welcoming the patriots and heroes participating in the Yatra.

The Chief Minister raised the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” while highlighting the patriotic spirit surrounding the campaign.

Remembering the Struggle for Independence

Before flagging off the Tiranga Yatra, Dr. Yadav recalled the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom fighters to India’s independence.

He referred to the Quit India Movement, saying that the movement launched by Mahatma Gandhi against British rule shook the foundations of the colonial government.

According to the Chief Minister, the sacrifices and struggles of revolutionaries, along with the country’s non-violent movements, eventually forced the British to leave India, paving the way for independence.

He noted that India is now set to commemorate 80 years of independence, describing the freedom achieved by the country as the result of a long and difficult struggle.

CM Yadav Urges Citizens to Remember Martyrs

Dr. Yadav urged citizens to remember and pay tribute to the martyrs and freedom fighters whose sacrifices made India’s independence possible.

He appealed to people to celebrate the festival of freedom together with workers and fellow citizens while simultaneously fulfilling their responsibilities towards the country.

The Chief Minister also invoked the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, or “the world is one family”, as an important value for the country.

He expressed the hope that India would remain “forever youthful and forever free”, while calling upon citizens to contribute towards the nation’s progress.

Call for Lifelong Commitment to Nation

Dr. Yadav said Tiranga Yatras were being organised across the country and referred to the initiative called for by Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Naveen.

He said he too would participate in a Tiranga Yatra and expressed hope that the nationwide campaign would bring together people from different age groups and sections of society.

The Chief Minister particularly appealed to youth, children, elderly people and women to participate in the celebrations and use the occasion to pledge lifelong service to the nation.

He said the Tiranga Yatras should not merely remain symbolic processions but should inspire citizens to embrace their responsibilities towards the country.

Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Launched

Alongside the Tiranga Yatra, Dr. Yadav launched the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by hoisting the national flag at the Chief Minister’s residence.

The campaign seeks to deepen public participation in the celebration of India’s freedom and encourage citizens to display the Tricolour at their homes.

The twin events in Bhopal—the Tiranga Yatra and the launch of Har Ghar Tiranga—were marked by strong participation from young people and a visible display of national pride.

The Chief Minister’s message centred on remembering the sacrifices that secured India’s freedom, celebrating the nation’s independence and encouraging every citizen to contribute to the country’s future through responsible and lifelong service.
