Eight Routes Approved Under Civil Aviation Policy

Madhya Pradesh has been focusing on expanding regional air connectivity through its Civil Aviation Policy 2025, which seeks to connect cities within the state with major destinations.

So far, eight new routes have been approved under the policy. Four are already operational:

  • Rewa–Delhi
  • Rewa–Indore
  • Rewa–Raipur
  • Indore–Abu Dhabi

The remaining four routes will become operational following Sunday’s launch.

Boost for Business, Tourism and Passenger Travel

The Bhopal–Patna service is expected to benefit passengers, traders and business communities while also improving connectivity for people from Bihar living in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the Rewa–Kolkata and Jabalpur–Kolkata flights will strengthen links between Madhya Pradesh and eastern India.

The government expects the new services to reduce travel time and make inter-state movement more convenient. Better air connectivity could also support:

  • Tourism and travel
  • Trade and business
  • Education-related travel
  • Economic activity
  • Inter-state passenger movement

Senior Dignitaries to Attend Launch

Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Union Civil Aviation Ministry Secretary Sameer Kumar Sinha, Airports Authority of India Chairman Vipin Kumar and Alliance Air Chairman Amit Kumar are among the dignitaries expected to attend the launch programme.

The expansion of the regional air network is aimed at providing faster and more convenient travel while improving Madhya Pradesh’s links with major cities across the country.
