ITI Limited Appoints Ajai Kumar Srivastava as Director (Production) Till March 2029

Srivastava, who has over 27 years of experience in manufacturing and production at ITI Limited, will serve as Director (Production) until his superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Ajai Kumar Srivastava as Director (Production) on the Board of ITI Limited, effective from the date he assumes charge of the post. His appointment will continue until his superannuation on March 31, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The appointment strengthens ITI Limited’s leadership in its core manufacturing and production operations. Srivastava, who previously served as General Manager at ITI Limited, brings around 27 years of experience in manufacturing and production.

Ajai Kumar Srivastava Appointed ITI Limited Director (Production)

The Ministry of Communications issued the appointment order on July 30, 2026, elevating Srivastava from his position as General Manager.

His appointment as Director (Production) is effective from July 31, 2026, and has been made in accordance with the applicable government guidelines and provisions governing ITI Limited.

ITI Limited Discloses Appointment Under SEBI Regulations

ITI Limited disclosed the appointment to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The disclosure was signed by Y Sathyan, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer.

The appointment was made pursuant to the Ministry of Communications order, which referred to the DoP&T letter No. 24/01/2026-EO(PE) dated July 24, 2026.

The official appointment order dated July 30, 2026, was signed by Amit Kundan, Under Secretary to the Government of India.

Ajai Kumar Srivastava Brings 27 Years of Manufacturing Experience

Srivastava holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication and has been associated with ITI Limited since November 1998.

Over his career spanning around 27 years, he has gained extensive experience in manufacturing and production operations.

His professional experience includes:

  • Around 27 years of association with ITI Limited.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and production.
  • Served as a unit head at various plants of the organisation.
  • Previously held the position of General Manager at ITI Limited.
  • Holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication.

His experience in manufacturing and production is expected to support ITI Limited’s operations as he takes charge of the Director (Production) position.

Appointment Follows Government of India Order

The appointment of Srivastava follows an order issued by the Ministry of Communications on July 30, 2026.

The order cited the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T) letter dated July 24, 2026, as the basis for the appointment.

The terms and conditions of the appointment will be governed by the applicable DPE guidelines, with detailed terms to be issued separately by the competent authority.

Regulatory Disclosure Confirms Appointment Details

As part of its regulatory disclosure, ITI Limited stated that the reason for the change is the appointment of Ajai Kumar Srivastava as Director (Production).

The disclosure also confirmed that there are no applicable relationships between directors requiring disclosure in connection with the appointment.

The appointment has been formalised in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and the governance framework of ITI Limited.
