Bengaluru: ITI Limited has secured a major work order worth ₹856.39 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for the expansion of its indigenous 4G mobile network in West India.
The project is part of BSNL’s ongoing 4G rollout programme under the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Atmanirbhar Telecom initiatives, aimed at strengthening domestic telecom infrastructure.
Under the order, ITI Limited will undertake the planning, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, integration, and related execution work for the 4G network on a turnkey basis.
7,613 4G Sites to Be Developed Across Six States and Regions
The latest BSNL order covers the installation and commissioning of 7,613 4G sites in the West Zone.
The project will cover:
- Maharashtra.
- Gujarat.
- Madhya Pradesh.
- Chhattisgarh.
- Goa.
- Mumbai Licensed Service Area (LSA).
The expansion will help improve mobile connectivity and strengthen digital infrastructure across these regions.

ITI Executes Project with TCS Consortium Partnership
ITI Limited is executing the project as part of a consortium with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
Earlier, ITI and TCS successfully completed a much larger Phase IX.2 BSNL 4G rollout project worth ₹2,640 crore, covering 23,633 sites in the same West Zone.
The previous project included:
- Radio Frequency (RF) planning.
- Engineering services.
- Supply and installation.
- Testing and commissioning.
- Network integration.
- Annual maintenance services.
Following the successful completion of the earlier project, BSNL has once again placed its trust in ITI for further expansion of the 4G network.
ITI CMD Highlights Role in India’s Self-Reliant Telecom Mission
ITI Limited Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Rai said that the company is proud to receive continued confidence from BSNL.

ITI Also Executing ₹7,000 Crore BharatNet Phase III Projects
Apart from the BSNL 4G expansion project, ITI Limited is currently executing BharatNet Phase III projects worth around ₹7,000 crore.
These projects are being implemented across several states, including:
- Himachal Pradesh.
- West Bengal.
- Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- Arunachal Pradesh.
- Nagaland.
- Manipur.
The projects aim to expand broadband connectivity and improve digital access in various parts of the country.
ITI Shares Rise After Receiving Major BSNL Order
Following the announcement of the order, ITI Limited shares gained 1.70% to ₹289.50 as investors responded positively to the new contract win.
The company has also reported strong financial performance. In Q4 FY26, ITI recorded a consolidated net profit of ₹436.10 crore, compared with a net loss of ₹4.38 crore in Q4 FY25.
The company’s revenue from operations increased by 39.98% year-on-year to ₹627.65 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026.
