The programmes will focus on participation by madrasa students and youth.

Yogi Leads Tiranga Yatra in Gorakhpur

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently led a Tiranga Yatra in Gorakhpur.

The nearly 2.5-km-long yatra began from the Nagar Nigam premises and concluded at Railway Station Chowk, with the Chief Minister carrying the Tricolour under the message of ‘Nation First’.

He also paid floral tribute to Veerangana Maharani Lakshmibai at the Nagar Nigam premises.

Adityanath said the campaign, launched in 2022, has gained momentum each year and represents a tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters.

Tiranga Yatras Across UP

Tiranga Yatras have also been organised in several districts, including Jalaun, Balrampur and Ayodhya.

In Shravasti, the SDRF and Flood PAC conducted a Tiranga rally by boat on the Rapti River, adding a distinctive dimension to the campaign.

These programmes are being used to encourage wider public participation in the Independence Day-related campaign.

Varanasi Women Prepare 3 Lakh Flags

In Varanasi, around 800 women associated with self-help groups are contributing to the campaign by preparing nearly 3 lakh national flags.

The flags will be distributed across all 694 gram panchayats of Varanasi under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

The participation of self-help groups is also linking the campaign with community involvement and local women’s economic activity.

Campaign Expands Across Communities

With madrasas, schools, local communities and government agencies participating in different activities, Uttar Pradesh is expanding the reach of Har Ghar Tiranga.

The campaign combines national flag-related activities with public awareness about India’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
