Jharkhand Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations of the state’s formation on Wednesday, urging the youth to actively participate in building a prosperous “Hamar Sona Jharkhand.” Addressing the media at Project Building after a cabinet meeting, Mr. Soren highlighted the importance of collective efforts in making Jharkhand a state full of opportunities and potential.
“It is a matter of pride for all of us that Jharkhand is turning 25. While the government remains committed to developmental initiatives, I appeal to our talented, creative, and educated youth to step forward and help shape a brighter future for our state,” Mr. Soren stated.
Statewide Blood Donation Drive Launched
In a symbolic gesture to mark the celebrations, Mr. Soren, along with Health Minister Mr. Irfan Ansari, donated blood at a camp organized at Project Building, signaling the launch of a statewide blood collection drive. The Chief Minister emphasized, “We hope this initiative ensures adequate blood availability for those in need, and we appeal to citizens to make this drive a resounding success.”
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Mr. Ajoy Kumar Singh added that the campaign aims to foster a culture of voluntary blood donation under the initiative “Swabhav Mein Raktdaan (Make Blood Donation a Habit).” Civil surgeons will supervise district-level blood donation camps, and citizens can access information on blood donation camps, blood bank availability, and donation procedures through the e-Rakt Kosh portal or mobile app. A toll-free helpline 104 is also available for guidance.
Sarkar Aapki Dwar Program to Strengthen Citizen Engagement
Mr. Soren further highlighted the state government’s commitment to proactive governance through the “Sarkar Aapki Dwar” initiative, which will bring government services directly to citizens’ doorsteps. “Our government is a people’s government. Every year, we engage with citizens through doorstep camps to understand and resolve their concerns,” he explained.
As Jharkhand celebrates 25 years of statehood, these initiatives reflect a dual focus on citizen welfare and youth-driven development, positioning the state for continued progress and inclusive growth.
