Comprehensive Family Database to Streamline Benefits

Under this ambitious initiative, the state government plans to create a comprehensive database of every family residing in Uttarakhand. Each family will be assigned a unique Family ID, which will serve as a key to access various state welfare programs efficiently. According to a statement from the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s Office, the database will integrate key schemes to ensure that benefits reach eligible families directly and transparently.

Unique Family ID to Ensure Efficient Scheme Access

The Family ID system will allow residents to view all schemes they are eligible for, track benefits already received, and identify those still available to them. Officials highlighted that the initiative will reduce delays, eliminate redundancy, and enhance the ease of accessing government welfare schemes across the state.

Enhanced Disaster Relief for Dharali and Surrounding Areas

The Uttarakhand cabinet also approved increased financial assistance for families affected by recent disasters in Dharali and other regions. Compensation for families of deceased individuals has been raised from 24 lakh to 25 lakh, while owners of fully damaged pucca houses will receive 75 lakh. For those whose kutcha houses were damaged, an additional 21 lakh will be granted from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Officials emphasized that the government has continued providing rations and essential relief materials to areas impacted by the August flash floods and landslides, ensuring that disaster-affected families receive timely support.

This integrated approach under the Devbhoomi Parivar Yojana reflects Uttarakhand’s commitment to inclusive development, efficient governance, and sensitive disaster management.
