Amol Vinukant Homkar is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic and effective officers in the Jharkhand cadre. He has earned a reputation for his firm handling of law and order situations and his leadership in challenging security environments, particularly in Naxal-affected regions of the state.

Key Role in Anti-Maoist Operations

During his tenure as IG Operations, Jharkhand Police, Homkar played a decisive role in intensifying and successfully executing anti-Maoist operations across the state. Under his leadership:

IPS Amol Vinukant Homkar brings with him extensive experience across multiple domains:

  • Cadre and Batch: Jharkhand cadre, 2004 batch
  • Experience: Law and order management, counter-insurgency operations, policing in Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, and administrative leadership

Significance of CRPF Appointment

His appointment is expected to strengthen the operational framework of the CRPF, particularly in areas related to internal security and anti-extremism operations across the country.

With his proven track record in counter-insurgency and operational command, his induction into the CRPF leadership is seen as a valuable addition to the force at a time when internal security challenges remain complex.
