Ranchi: The Jharkhand government on Friday announced a significant reshuffle of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the state. The transfer list includes key postings in Ranchi, Chaibasa, Deoghar, Dhanbad, and several other districts aimed at strengthening law and order and meeting administrative requirements.
Key Transfers: Rakesh Ranjan Moves to Ranchi, Amit Renu Takes Over Chaibasa
In a notable change, Rakesh Ranjan, previously the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chaibasa, has been appointed the new Senior Superintendent of Police (Senior SP) of Ranchi. Simultaneously, Amit Renu, a 2016 batch IPS officer, has been posted as the new SP of Chaibasa. Amit Renu was earlier serving as the SP of Naxal Operations in Ranchi.
Paras Rana, previously the ASP (Operations) of Chaibasa, will now take charge as City SP of Ranchi, overseeing jurisdictions including JAP-10 and Hotwar in the capital city.
Other Important Postings in Ranchi and Districts
- Chandan Kumar Sinha has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ranchi.
- Arvind Kumar Singh is the new SP of Special Branch, Ranchi.
- Ehtesham Waqarib has been assigned as SP of CID, Ranchi.
- Rakesh Singh takes charge as SP, Traffic, Ranchi.
- Deepak Kumar Pandey will now serve as SP, Special Branch.
- Animesh Naithani has been posted as SP of Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Transfers in Other Districts
- Saurabh has been appointed as the new SP of Deoghar.
- Ajit Kumar takes charge as SP of Jamshedpur Railways.
- Kailash Karmali is the new SP of Railways, Dhanbad.
