Ranchi: Jharkhand has stepped up preparedness for seasonal influenza, including H1N1 and H3N2, with hospitals set to prepare 10-bed isolation wards for patients requiring care.
The health authorities have also issued precautionary guidelines and advised people to seek medical attention promptly if flu-like symptoms appear.
Hospitals to Prepare Isolation Facilities
As part of the preparedness measures, hospitals will have 10-bed isolation wards to manage patients who may require separate care because of influenza-related symptoms.
The arrangement is aimed at strengthening the health system’s ability to respond to suspected cases while reducing the risk of infection spreading among other patients and healthcare workers.
Citizens experiencing symptoms have been advised to visit the nearest Sadar Hospital or government health centre without delay.
