In response to a directive from the Election Commission of India, the Jammu and Kashmir government has implemented a series of transfers within the police force and administrative departments. The order, effective immediately, includes the relocation of seven police officers and key administrative appointments.
Administrative Changes:
Faz Lul Haseeb (IAS; AGMUT: 2018), previously Deputy Commissioner of Shopian, has been transferred to the role of Managing Director of J&K Tourism Development Corporation. This move relieves Vivekanand Rai (IRS), Director of Tourism, Jammu, from the additional charge.
Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar (JKAS), currently Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory, J&K, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Shopian, succeeding Faz Lul Haseeb.
Police Transfers and Appointments:
Gurinderpal Singh (IPS; AGMUT: 2013) has been appointed as Incharge Director of Police Telecommunication, relieving Manoj Kumar Pandita, AIG of Training & Policy, of the additional charge.
Shobhit Saksena (IPS; AGMUT: 2015) will take over as SSP (Headquarters) CID, filling a current vacancy.
Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (JKPS: 1999) has been transferred to SSP Srinagar, succeeding Ashish Kumar Mishra (IPS), who is now awaiting further assignments at Police Headquarters, J&K.
Mohd. Zaid (JKPS: 2001) is appointed as SSP Baramulla, replacing Gurinderpal Singh (IPS).
Gh. Jeelani Wani (JKPS: 2001) will now serve as SSP Kupwara, succeeding Shobhit Saksena (IPS).
Dawood Ayoub (JKPS: 2004) has been assigned as SSP (TMG) CID Headquarters, taking over from Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (JKPS).
Ifroz Ahmad (JKPS: 2004) is posted as SP Handwara, replacing Dawood Ayoub.
