Gandhinagar: A woman from Mundra in Kutch recovered more than ₹35 lakh lost in a financial fraud within three days after approaching Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi during Public Day in Gandhinagar.

The recovery followed the Deputy Chief Minister’s directions to the West Kutch Police to take immediate action and ensure the complainant received justice.

Woman Approaches DyCM After Losing Life Savings

Ashaben Siddhpura of Mundra joined K.D. Enterprise as an agent about three years ago while seeking employment. She was allegedly lured by promises of high returns and investment-doubling schemes.

She also introduced others to the company. However, when repayments were due, the operators allegedly made excuses and refused to return the money, leaving Ashaben and others facing financial difficulties.

DyCM Orders Immediate Police Action

Seeking help, Ashaben travelled from Kutch to Gandhinagar and personally raised the matter with Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi during Public Day.

Sanghavi took immediate cognisance of her grievance and directed the West Kutch Superintendent of Police to take appropriate action for speedy recovery of the money.

The instructions prompted the police to begin an investigation without delay.

Police Recover More Than ₹35 Lakh

West Kutch SP Vikas Sunda met Ashaben the next day, following which LCB and other police teams launched an intensive investigation.

Police recovered over ₹35 lakh within three days and returned the money to Ashaben, bringing relief to the Mundra resident.

Action Taken Under ‘Tera Tujhko Arpan’

SP Vikas Sunda said the police acted on the directions of the Deputy Chief Minister and gathered complete information from the applicant.

He said action was taken under the ‘Tera Tujhko Arpan’ campaign, through which the police worked to recover and return the money to Ashaben.

The swift recovery highlighted the importance of prompt grievance redressal and coordinated police action in financial fraud cases.

Woman Warns Others Against Fraudulent Investment Offers

Ashaben thanked the Deputy Chief Minister and West Kutch Police for promptly addressing her grievance and recovering her money.

She urged people to verify companies before investing in schemes promising unusually high returns or doubled money.

Swift Grievance Redressal Brings Relief

The case highlights how quick intervention and coordinated action can help victims of financial fraud recover their money.

For Ashaben, the recovery of ₹35 lakh meant the return of her life savings after what had become a prolonged financial ordeal.

The incident also reinforces the need for citizens to verify investment opportunities carefully and report suspected financial fraud to the authorities at the earliest opportunity.
