The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted ex-post facto approval for L. Satya Srinivas, an IRS (C&IT) officer from the 1991 batch, to hold additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Government e-Marketplace Special Purpose Vehicle (GeM SPV) for six months. This appointment was confirmed in an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Mr. Srinivas, who currently serves as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce, will continue in this additional role from October 7, 2024, until a regular CEO is appointed, or until further orders, whichever comes sooner.
