Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹1,460 crore and ₹25 lakh to the bank accounts of 10.54 lakh farmers through a single-click digital transfer.
The amount represents the Kharif 2025 crop insurance claim settlement under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
The Chief Minister released the funds immediately after the Council of Ministers meeting held at Jagdishpur, providing financial assistance to farmers affected by crop-related losses.

Addressing the occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the state government stands with farmers in every situation and is continuously working for their welfare.
He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown special concern towards protecting farmers’ interests and ensuring timely assistance during difficult circumstances.
The Chief Minister said that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana has been implemented to provide financial support to farmers in case of crop damage caused by natural calamities.

CM Advises Farmers to Complete Crop Insurance Before Deadline
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav urged farmers to insure their notified crops before the prescribed deadline to protect themselves against possible financial losses.
He said that due to the possibility of an El Niño effect, forecasts indicate that favourable monsoon conditions may not be certain this season.
In such circumstances, crop insurance can help farmers receive financial assistance in case of reduced yield or crop damage.
The Chief Minister encouraged farmers to take advantage of the insurance scheme and ensure timely registration for coverage.

Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Edal Singh Kansana informed that farmers affected by crop losses in the state have received significant financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
According to the minister, a total payment of ₹30,942 crore and ₹34 lakh has been made to affected farmers from 2016-17 to 2024-25 under the crop insurance scheme.
The latest transfer of ₹1,460 crore further strengthens the government’s efforts to provide timely financial support to farmers facing agricultural challenges.
