Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on September 15 virtually addressed public representatives ahead of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, calling for widespread public participation and coordinated celebrations across villages and wards.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life represent not years of power, but a journey of continuous public service and nation-building. From serving as Chief Minister to becoming Prime Minister, Modi has made public service a central commitment, he said.

Yadav described the Prime Minister’s birthday as a special occasion for everyone and called for the campaign to be marked with enthusiasm and community participation across Madhya Pradesh.

‘A Diya of Blessings’ to Mark the Campaign

The Chief Minister said the launch of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan with the ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ (Lamp of Blessings) programme would be an innovative way to mark the occasion.

He urged people to organise celebrations resembling Diwali in every village and ward, with government agencies, elected representatives and social organisations working together.

The lighting of lamps, he said, should symbolise the happiness and gratitude of people while also creating an opportunity to discuss the Prime Minister’s public achievements and initiatives.

Highlighting Development Initiatives in Madhya Pradesh

Yadav asked public representatives to inform citizens about major projects and welfare initiatives that have benefited Madhya Pradesh.

He highlighted initiatives and projects including:

  • Metro rail services
  • Airports
  • Medical colleges
  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
  • Tap water supply under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal
  • Farmer welfare initiatives

According to the Chief Minister, these initiatives have contributed to changes in the daily lives of ordinary citizens.

He also urged organisers to involve women’s self-help groups, Ladli Behna beneficiaries, farmers, livestock rearers, fishermen, youth, students and beneficiaries of the Swamitva Yojana in campaign activities.

Yadav said lighting a lamp would serve as an expression of gratitude for the contributions and initiatives that have benefited people.

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to Run from September 17 to October 17

The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will run from September 17 to October 17 across Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister said citizens would receive additional facilities and services during the month-long campaign. One of the key measures will be the launch of a free registration process for landowners.

The government plans to conduct 50 lakh registrations during the campaign period, aimed at making the process easier and more accessible for beneficiaries.

The campaign will also coincide with the launch of Sugam Yatri buses on September 25, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

The new bus services are intended to improve public transport access and provide easier mobility for people across the state.

Focus on Mass Participation and Coordination

Yadav called upon public representatives and government agencies to ensure maximum public participation in the campaign.

He stressed the importance of coordination between the administration, elected representatives and social organisations to ensure that the activities reach communities across the state.

The Chief Minister said Madhya Pradesh should create a distinctive example at the national level through the scale and manner in which the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is implemented.

The campaign combines public participation with service delivery, welfare initiatives and awareness about development projects. By involving different sections of society, including women, farmers, youth and beneficiaries of government schemes, the state government aims to turn the month-long programme into a broad-based public campaign.
