Over 7,500 Students to Benefit in 2025-26

More than 7,500 eligible students will receive the benefit of the scheme for the 2025-26 academic session.

The scheme covers regular students studying in government higher secondary schools under the School Education Department and Tribal Affairs Department of Madhya Pradesh.

Students from all streams are eligible under the scheme, subject to the prescribed academic criteria.

Eligibility Criteria Under Chief Minister Scooty Scheme

The scheme has been designed to recognise and reward students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance.

To qualify for the benefit, a student must:

  • Secure at least 70% marks in Class 12.
  • Pass Class 12 in the first attempt.
  • Stand first in their school based on their Class 12 performance.
  • Be a regular student of a government higher secondary school under the concerned departments.

The scheme is intended to motivate students to focus on academic excellence and encourage them to continue their education after school.

More Than 23,000 Students Already Benefited

The Chief Minister Scooty Scheme has already reached a significant number of meritorious students across Madhya Pradesh.

According to the state government:

  • More than 23,000 eligible students have benefited from the scheme so far.
  • Around ₹246 crore has been spent on implementing the scheme.
  • More than 7,500 students are set to receive e-scooters for the 2025-26 academic session.

The growing coverage reflects the state government’s focus on supporting meritorious students in government schools.

E-Scooters to Support Higher Education

The scheme is aimed not only at recognising academic achievement but also at supporting students as they move towards higher education.

For many students, access to convenient transportation can make commuting to colleges easier. The e-scooters are expected to provide greater mobility and help students manage their daily travel requirements.

The initiative also seeks to strengthen participation in higher education by encouraging students from government schools to continue their studies after completing Class 12.

Government Initiative to Encourage Academic Excellence

The Chief Minister Scooty Scheme is a major initiative of the Madhya Pradesh government to encourage students to perform well academically.

By linking academic achievement with a practical benefit, the scheme seeks to create greater motivation among students studying in government schools.

The government believes that recognising meritorious students can help increase enthusiasm towards education and encourage more students to pursue higher studies.

Scheme Supports Students Across All Streams

The scheme covers students from all academic streams, ensuring that eligibility is not limited to a particular subject group.

Students studying under the School Education and Tribal Affairs departments in government higher secondary schools can benefit if they meet the prescribed criteria.

This makes the initiative a broad-based incentive programme for academic performance across Madhya Pradesh.
