He also highlighted initiatives aimed at increasing women’s economic participation, including self-help groups and livelihood activities.

  • Around 4 lakh women are setting up small-scale industrial units.
  • Women associated with self-help groups are entering entrepreneurial activities.
  • Government initiatives include programmes such as Namo Didi, Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi.

₹226 Crore Development Package for Agar Malwa

The Chief Minister announced 33 development works worth ₹226 crore for Agar Malwa.

He also inaugurated 17 projects worth ₹28 crore.

Yadav highlighted ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects in the region, including road connectivity and projects linked to religious tourism.

He said an ₹18 crore development package was also being implemented at the Baijnath Dham.

CM Highlights Women’s Economic Participation

Addressing the gathering, Yadav said women’s economic progress was closely linked to the state’s development.

“If sisters do not progress, Madhya Pradesh cannot progress.”

He said the government’s approach was to provide women with financial support that could also be used for household needs and livelihood activities.

Yadav cited examples of women using their savings to purchase sewing machines and establish beauty parlours.

Focus on Farmers, Youth and Livelihoods

Yadav said Madhya Pradesh was observing 2026 as the Year of Farmer Welfare and that the government was focusing on four groups—farmers, women, youth and the poor.

He also highlighted plans to promote activities such as:

  • Animal husbandry
  • Poultry farming
  • Goat rearing
  • Other livelihood options aimed at increasing farmers’ income

The Chief Minister said more than 300 industries were expected to be established in the region.

Road and Transport Projects Highlighted

Yadav also spoke about infrastructure and public transport initiatives in the state.

He said the government was working on road construction and that the Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva was being introduced after the earlier state roadways bus services had declined.

According to him, the government plans to operate 15,000 buses across villages by 2030.

He also said the state would facilitate registration of land parcels covered under a government initiative from September 17, with around 50 lakh beneficiaries expected to be covered.

Religious Tourism and Infrastructure

Yadav highlighted the development of religious tourism in Madhya Pradesh, particularly around Ujjain and the Mahakal Lok project.

He claimed that Ujjain’s annual visitor numbers had risen from around 70 lakh in 2022-23 to 8 crore last year following the development of Mahakal Lok.

The Chief Minister also urged people to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 by lighting lamps at their homes.
