MCL Special Campaign 6.0: Over 10 Lakh Sq Ft Targeted for Cleanliness and Space Optimisation 

Coal miner sets a target significantly higher than the 6.12 lakh sq ft covered in the previous campaign, with focus on Swachhata, space utilisation and scientific e-waste management.

New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has set a target to clean and improve more than 10 lakh square feet of area across its offices, colonies and other establishments during Special Campaign 6.0.

The target is significantly higher than the 6.12 lakh square feet of identified areas covered by MCL during the previous campaign, highlighting the coal miner’s focus on improving workplace cleanliness, space utilisation and overall management of its establishments.

The campaign will be conducted from October 2 to October 31, 2026, in line with the Government of India’s Special Campaign 6.0.

MCL Sets Target to Clean Over 10 Lakh Sq Ft Area

During Special Campaign 6.0, MCL will undertake cleanliness and workplace improvement activities across its offices, residential colonies and other establishments.

The company’s target includes more than 10 lakh square feet of area, representing a substantial increase over the 6.12 lakh square feet identified and covered during the previous campaign.

The initiative will focus on:

  • Improving cleanliness across MCL establishments
  • Optimising the use of available workplace space
  • Reducing pendency
  • Clearing unwanted and obsolete materials
  • Strengthening waste collection and segregation
  • Ensuring proper disposal of waste and e-waste
  • Promoting efficient workplace management

Special Campaign 6.0 to Focus on Swachhata and Space Utilisation

The campaign, scheduled from October 2 to October 31, 2026, will focus on institutionalising Swachhata and improving workplace management practices.

MCL will identify areas requiring cleanliness and space-management interventions and undertake measures to remove redundant materials and improve the utilisation of available space.

The company will also focus on clearing unwanted, obsolete and redundant materials, helping create cleaner and more efficiently managed workplaces.

Scientific E-Waste Management a Key Focus

Scientific management of electronic waste (e-waste) will be a major focus of MCL’s Special Campaign 6.0 activities.

The company will undertake dedicated efforts to:

  • Identify obsolete and discarded electronic items
  • Segregate e-waste systematically
  • Ensure proper collection of electronic waste
  • Dispose of obsolete electronic items in accordance with applicable guidelines

The initiative is aimed at strengthening environmentally responsible waste management practices across MCL’s offices and establishments.

Campaign to Strengthen Workplace Management

Through Special Campaign 6.0, MCL aims to combine cleanliness with better utilisation of workplace resources.

The campaign will address not only physical cleanliness but also the removal of redundant materials, reduction of pendency and systematic waste management.

The higher target compared with the previous campaign reflects MCL’s continued focus on Swachhata, environmental responsibility and efficient workplace management.
