  • David Lalrinsanga – promoted to DGP in Level-16 of the pay matrix, effective February 1, 2026, or from the date of assuming charge.

In addition, three officers serving on Central deputation received proforma promotions to the DGP rank:

  • Satish Shriramaji Khandare

Significance of the Promotions

The AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre officers often hold key law enforcement and administrative responsibilities across multiple union territories and strategically important regions. Elevating officers to the DGP rank ensures strengthened leadership, better coordination, and enhanced operational effectiveness in maintaining law and order.

Proforma promotions for officers on central deputation recognize seniority and career progression while they serve in positions outside their parent cadre.
