Jammu: In a strategic move aimed at strengthening policing and administrative efficiency, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the transfer of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the Delhi segment to the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) segment of the AGMUT cadre.
Officers Transferred
According to details obtained by The Excelsior, the officers transferred to the J&K segment are Sukant Shailja Ballabh, Krishan Kumar, and Kamal Pal Singh Malhotra. These officers are expected to soon join their new postings and commence their duties in Jammu and Kashmir.
Purpose Behind the Transfer
The reshuffle is part of the routine administrative measures undertaken by the MHA to maintain optimal staffing levels and enhance coordination between various segments within the AGMUT cadre, which comprises officers serving in Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories including Delhi and J&K. This transfer is intended to bolster law enforcement effectiveness and address region-specific policing challenges.
