Farmer-Centric Budget Announced

In his address, CM Mohan Yadav outlined the Madhya Pradesh budget of ₹4.38 lakh crore, stating that over ₹1 lakh crore has been allocated for farmers. Key initiatives include:

  • Full funding for land record registration, enabling farmers to access government schemes via banks.
  • Strengthening agricultural infrastructure and rural livelihoods.
  • Measures to enhance farmers’ financial security and quality of life.

Comparison With Previous Governments

Taking a dig at the Congress, CM Yadav highlighted that the 2002-03 Digvijay Singh government had a total budget of only ₹20,000 crore, whereas the current government has allocated ₹23,000 crore exclusively for the Ladli Bahna scheme supporting women. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to both farmers and women’s welfare.

Nutrition and Child Welfare Initiatives

CM Mohan Yadav also highlighted a ₹3,500 crore Tetra Pak milk scheme, which aims to provide milk to students from class 1 to 8, addressing child malnutrition and supporting health and education outcomes in rural areas.

Connecting With Villagers

Ending his speech on a personal note, CM Yadav expressed his desire to enjoy local delicacies like Malpua with villagers under the trees in Kulaith during his next visit, reflecting his grassroots connection with the community.
