Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on August 14 paid floral tribute to Bharat Mata at Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, recalling the suffering of people displaced during the Partition of India.
Yadav said the occasion was an opportunity to remember those who were forced to leave their homes and face difficult circumstances during the Partition. He said the memory of that period continues to evoke pain and called for learning from the tragedy.
CM Calls for Unity and Brotherhood
Addressing the gathering, Yadav called for strengthening unity, brotherhood and national sentiment in the country.

He said remembering the suffering associated with Partition should encourage people to work towards greater national unity. He also paid tribute to the freedom fighters and others who made sacrifices during India’s struggle for independence.
Yadav said India should continue moving forward while preserving its historical memory and national identity.
Digital Library Inaugurated at Shaurya Smarak
During his visit to Shaurya Smarak, the Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed digital library.
The facility contains digital material related to India’s history and freedom struggle. Yadav reviewed the digital resources and other arrangements at the library and took information about the facilities.
Tiranga Yatra Flagged Off
Yadav also flagged off a Tiranga Yatra from Shaurya Smarak Tiraha in the Bhopal South-West Assembly constituency.
The procession is scheduled to proceed towards Bharat Mata Chauraha (Depo Chauraha) as part of the Independence Day-related celebrations.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign
Yadav also referred to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar-Ghar Tiranga’ campaign launched on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying it has become an occasion for public participation and expression of patriotism across the country.
He said the campaign is being observed from August 9 to August 17 as part of the celebrations surrounding India’s 80th Independence Day.
CM Says India Moving Towards 2047 Goal
Yadav said India is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”
He also expressed the hope that India would become a developed nation by 2047, while continuing to strengthen its standing globally.
The Chief Minister also paid tribute to freedom fighters and others who contributed to India’s independence, while remembering the people who suffered during and after Partition.
