Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav participated in the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ held at Aastha Garden in Ujjain on October 7 to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
Yadav joined the programme virtually and listened to Modi’s address along with senior Bharatiya Janata Party functionaries and workers. He also participated in a ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’ organised under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026’.
CM Launches Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra
Following the programme, Yadav lit a torch to formally launch the ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’ and participated in the procession carrying the torch.
He also felicitated award-winning functionaries from different government departments during the programme.
Yadav said Modi had completed 25 years of public service and described the period as a journey associated with service and commitment to nation-building. He said the country was moving towards the goal of a developed India by 2047.

Yadav Highlights Ujjain’s Religious Tourism
Speaking at the programme, Yadav referred to the development of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain and said it had given new momentum to religious tourism in the city.
According to figures cited by the Chief Minister, around 7 crore devotees and tourists visited Ujjain last year, while Madhya Pradesh recorded around 20 crore visitors during the same period.
Yadav described these figures as part of the changing profile of Madhya Pradesh and said the state was progressing alongside the country’s development while retaining its religious and cultural identity.
CM Highlights Inclusive Development
Yadav said the Prime Minister’s public-service journey had focused on bringing different sections of society into the development process. He referred to the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ and said workers had a role in taking the message of service and good governance to the public.
He also referred to developments including the construction of the Ram Temple and steps towards a Uniform Civil Code, describing them as examples of what he called the “new India”.
Government Reaffirms Service Campaign
After the programme, Yadav told the media that the state government was committed to carrying forward the spirit of service associated with the Prime Minister’s 25 years in public life.
He said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026’ would provide a platform for participation in activities connected with service and public engagement.
