Mumbai/New Delhi: Shares of MOIL Ltd, India’s largest manganese ore producer, rose nearly 1% on Thursday after the company announced record-breaking production and exploration figures for the first quarter of FY2025–26. MOIL achieved a highest-ever Q1 production of 5.02 lakh tonnes, marking a 6.8% increase over the same period last year (CPLY).

In June 2025 alone, MOIL produced 1.68 lakh tonnes of manganese ore, the highest monthly figure ever, and 2% higher than June 2024. The company’s ongoing focus on operational efficiency and capacity expansion is credited with driving these gains.

Exploration Milestone Surpassed

Alongside production, MOIL also reported its highest-ever exploratory core drilling in Q1, covering 34,900 meters, a jump of 16.2% over the previous year’s first quarter. This exploration boost underlines MOIL’s long-term strategy to increase resource availability and future mine development.
