Dubai: On the second day of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the headquarters of Textile Merchants Group (TEXMAS) in Dubai. During a high-level meeting with prominent textile traders and leaders of the UAE’s textile industry, Dr. Yadav outlined strategic opportunities for collaboration, investment, and innovation in the textile sector under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
The TEXMAS delegation, led by Chairman Mr. Nasir Akhun and Vice Chairman Mr. Vinod Nagda, expressed keen interest in exploring trade and manufacturing linkages with Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s leading textile-producing states.
Madhya Pradesh: The Next Big Destination for Textile Investment
Highlighting the state’s robust infrastructure and pro-industry policies, Chief Minister Yadav invited TEXMAS and UAE-based companies to invest in the PM Mitra Park in Dhar, a state-of-the-art textile cluster under India’s mega integrated textile scheme. He also detailed investor-friendly provisions under the Industrial Policy 2025, including land and capital grants, SGST reimbursement, and labor support.
Digital Textile Innovation & Industry 4.0: A New Era
Dr. Yadav commended TEXMAS for its pioneering use of RFID inventory tracking, e-commerce integration, and digital logistics, and invited collaboration in smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives. “Madhya Pradesh is fully committed to building a digitally-enabled, globally competitive textile ecosystem,” he said.
Green Textiles & Sustainable Logistics on Agenda
The dialogue also focused on sustainable textile practices, with special attention on green textile production, organic cotton, and environmentally friendly logistics in alignment with EU and US market standards. Dr. Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is proactively adopting green practices and aims to emerge as a leader in eco-friendly textile exports.
Madhya Pradesh Eyes Strategic I2U2 Collaborations
The Chief Minister informed TEXMAS of the state’s preparedness to participate in I2U2 (India-Israel-UAE-USA) cooperation across cleantech, agri-logistics, and industrial innovation. He extended an invitation for pilot projects in collaboration with global partners, showcasing MP’s alignment with international priorities.

Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in the Textile Sector
Dr. Yadav also shared that a special startup policy is being implemented in Madhya Pradesh to encourage youth participation in textile entrepreneurship. The policy includes provisions for training, licensing guidance, and capital support. He urged TEXMAS to facilitate B2B engagements and mentorship programs with aspiring textile startups from India.
This visit and dialogue mark a significant step in deepening India-UAE textile trade relations.
