Sagar: Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, transferred ₹196.72 crore to the bank accounts of 32 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme in Sagar district. The fund transfer marks a significant step in strengthening social security and financial inclusion for senior citizens, widows, and other eligible beneficiaries.
During the event, CM Yadav also inaugurated the new building of Sandipani School and launched the cultural Rahas Mela, highlighting the government’s focus on education and cultural heritage.
Rahas Mela: A 217-Year-Old Tradition
The CM emphasized the historical and cultural importance of Rahas Mela in the Rahli region, which has a legacy of 217 years. He also referred to Bundelkhand as the land of brave warriors like Alha-Udal.
To promote local employment and agribusiness, CM Yadav announced the establishment of a Food Park in Rahli, providing job opportunities for local youth and boosting agriculture-based industries.
Focus on Agriculture, Dairy, and Women Empowerment
As part of the Kisan Kalyan Varsh (Farmer Welfare Year) initiative:
- Agriculture-based businesses and industries will be promoted to increase farmers’ income.
- Livestock and dairy production will be prioritized.
- The newly launched Yashoda Scheme (Budget 2026-27) will provide free tetra pack milk to students up to 8th grade in government schools.
- Under women’s welfare programs, Ladli Bahna Scheme offers ₹1,500 monthly financial assistance.
- Support for small and cottage industries will continue to drive local economic growth.
Infrastructure and Development Initiatives in Rahli
CM Yadav announced several key infrastructure projects:
- Construction of Khejra-Shahpur-Mokalpur Flyover.
- Upgradation of Rahli and Gadhakota Agriculture Produce Markets with ₹5 crore each.
- Development of Shahpur Up-Mandi with ₹1 crore.
- Widening and improvement of Rahli-Ramkharia, Simaria Nayak Baheriya Madhi road (22 km).
Education and Sports Development
- Sandipani School students will receive free uniforms, books, and bicycles. Top-performing students will be awarded scooters.
- Construction of multi-sports complexes in Gadhakota and Rahli.
- New commerce and history faculties to be introduced in local colleges.
Irrigation and Agricultural Support
Efforts will be made to expand irrigation through the Sonar River, enhancing water availability for farmers and boosting agricultural productivity.
