Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the scientific and cultural significance of Garbh Sanskar (prenatal education and conditioning) during a program at Daily College, Indore. He stated that Sanatan practices are not just religious rituals but a scientific method to make life balanced, healthy, and valuable.
Garbh Sanskar to Be Integrated in Hospitals and Medical Universities
CM Yadav announced several initiatives to promote Garbh Sanskar across the state:
- Prenatal Chambers: Government hospitals will establish dedicated Garbh Sanskar rooms
- Education and Research: Medical universities and affiliated colleges will offer study and teaching programs on Garbh Sanskar
- Official Gazette Notification: Formal notification for these programs will be released soon

Book Launch: “Garbh Sanskar”
During the program, CM Yadav released the book “Garbh Sanskar”, authored by Dr. Anil Garg and Dr. Seema Garg. The ceremony began with a lamp lighting ritual and floral tribute to Bharat Mata. CM Yadav encouraged the community to actively promote and practice Garbh Sanskar in daily life.
Scientific and Cultural Insights
The Chief Minister highlighted that maternity is not only a biological process but the first school of values and ethics for the unborn child. Key points shared include:
- Modern science shows that by 5-6 months of pregnancy, a child responds to mother’s emotions and external environment
- Ancient texts like the Mahabharata reveal a deep understanding of mental and emotional development
- Ayurveda and modern medicine recognize the importance of prenatal care and Garbh Sanskar
- Practices enhance physical, mental, and spiritual development of the child
Emphasis on Values and Nation Building
Akhil Bharatiya Executive Member Shri Bhayyaji Joshi said that India’s thinking focuses on guiding humanity rather than dominating it. He stressed that:
- The development of superior humans requires education and good values, not just material wealth
- Indian philosophy prioritizes holistic human development, unlike Western approaches that treat humans mechanistically
- Cultural movements like Garbh Sanskar are vital for building a strong and conscious society
